FAQs
Day to day we get asked a number of similar questions about choosing flowers and the service we offer, so we thought it might be helpful to put a list of common questions we get asked and their answers, as we know many of our customers like to be prepared before placing their order. So we hope this helps...
Buying Flowers
What is the most requested flower?
When we look at what are our most popular bouquets they always seem to contain pink flowers. Roses are also very popular so a bouquet that contains pink roses is a clear winner. We have a wide selection of pink flowers in varying shades from hot pinks to dusky pinks, to blush pinks so an eclectic selection of these flowers in shades of pink ensuring roses are included we believe is a sure winner every time.
Can I get Same Day delivery of flowers in Surrey?
Yes Mad Lilies delivers flowers across Surrey daily - so long as we have you order by 1pm we can deliver that same day Monday to Saturday.
Can I order a bespoke flower design?
Of course, but we also need to advise you that due to current energy crisis and the effect it is having on flower growers here, and around the world, there are some limitations on what flowers are available for us to order and get delivered. Please call the shop to chat through what flowers you are looking for and we will do our very best to source them for you. If they aren’t available we will be able to advise on what flowers may work just as well.
All products are subject to availability. In the event of any supply difficulties, we reserve the right to substitute a product of equivalent value and quality without notice.
If I have a specific idea in mind, can you help?
Yes of course, we love to get creative and think there’s nothing better than delivering a bespoke arrangement. Although we do have to make sure the flowers you ask for are in season, they are available under current international and government Covid restrictions on flower markets, and you have given us enough notice to organise delivery.
I don’t know what I want! Can you help me?
Please don’t feel under any pressure to know flower names or styles, that's what we're here for, to guide you through and help you work out what it is that you want or your intended recipient may like. If buying for other people, think about what colours they like or tell us about their personality. Are they a romantic? More traditional? Outdoorsy? Think about their home and décor, which room are they likely to place the flowers. What’s the occasion? We can use all this information to create something to suit. If you’re really stuck, don’t worry, that’s what we’re here for and promise to come up with a perfect solution.
How much should I spend?
It’s best to have a budget in mind, the best way to work this out is to think about where you or your recipient may display the flowers. A tied bunch (approx. £38-£48) would be suitable for a side table, medium (approx. £55-£75) for a kitchen table and large (approx. £75-£125+) for a kitchen island or entrance. And our 'Showstopper Vase Designs' - well just let's say they'll definitely make an entrance and an impression.
How long do fresh cut flowers last?
In general, you should get up to 7 days from your fresh cut flowers but this is dependent on the conditions they are kept and under floor heating and radiators will reduce the freshness of your flowers. Fresh water every other day and re-trimming their stems is the best thing you can do to increase your flower's life.
Can I have my arrangement delivered with a vase?
Yes, we stock a large range of beautiful vases that really complement our bouquets and have several designs available on our website that come with a vase.
Is it cheaper to buy flowers that are in season?
It can be, and we can advise which flowers are in season and present the best value. Our Florist Choice Seasonal Bouquet uses flowers chosen by us, ensuring the freshest, most seasonal flowers available at the most reasonable price.
